What GEO costs in India

Published · By Shoaib Mustaque· 6-minute read

Published GEO prices in India start around ₹50,000 a month. Of the Bangalore agencies whose pages we checked on 17 October 2026, two publish prices, from ₹56,888 a month standalone and from ₹79,999 a month inside an SEO retainer, and the rest quote on request. International guides list $3,000–$25,000 a month. Citemark's plans are on the pricing page.

The market

What is published, and by whom

Few Indian agencies publish GEO prices. In a roundup of seven Bangalore GEO agencies on ZeroAdo's blog, none lists a figure; all quote after a call. Two Bangalore agency sites we checked publish: AI SEO Solutions lists three monthly plans and a sprint, and DigiMark Agency includes GEO in SEO retainers and prices a standalone audit. The figures are below.

None of the Indian pages says whether the price includes GST, which is charged at 18 percent on services. Assume it is extra unless the quote says otherwise. Our own pricing page states it: our prices exclude GST, are month to month, and include SEO, AEO and GEO together.

What you pay for

What drives the price

Six things set a GEO price: how many prompts are tracked and on how many engines, how many pages are written or rewritten, whether engineering fixes are shipped in your codebase or handed over as a document, how much digital PR and mentions work is included, the reporting cadence, and whether a named senior person is on the account.

Scope

What a monthly GEO plan should include

A GEO plan worth paying for includes an audit before the first invoice, a prompt map you agree on, entity and indexing setup across Google and Bing, technical fixes shipped, a stated number of pages a month, mentions work, and a monthly report with a screenshot behind every number. If any of these is missing, the price is not comparable.

  1. 01

    The audit first

What each engine says about you today, screenshot by screenshot, and the three fixes that matter most. Free or paid, it must come before the plan.

  2. 02

    A prompt map with numbers

How many prompts, which engines, how often they are run. “AI visibility” without a count is not a deliverable.

  3. 03

    Entity and indexing

Schema, Google Business Profile, Bing Webmaster Tools and IndexNow, llms.txt, crawler access. One-time work that every plan should include in month one.

  4. 04

    Engineering that ships

Rendering, schema and indexing fixes made in your codebase, or at least as specific tickets your team can act on.

  5. 05

    A content number

Pages per month, who writes them, who is named as author. Nothing should be published without a name and a date.

  6. 06

    Mentions

Which third-party pages, and what the agency will do to get you on them. No paid links.

  7. 07

    A report you can forward

Screenshots, not scores. What moved, and what changed on the site or off it in the same month.

Engagement model

Retainer, sprint or audit?

Three ways to buy GEO exist in India. A monthly retainer suits a brand that wants the work to continue as engines change. A fixed-term sprint, usually three months, suits a brand that wants to see citations before committing. A one-off audit suits a team that will do the work itself. The free audit comes before any of them.

Engagement models compared
ModelTypical termBest forWatch for
Monthly retainerMonth to month, or 6–12 monthsOngoing work as engines change; competitive promptsLock-in periods; a price that excludes engineering
Fixed sprint90 daysSeeing first citations before committingA sprint that is only an audit; no handover
One-off audit1–3 weeksTeams who will implement themselvesA list of problems with no priority order

Whichever you buy, a 30-day notice period is reasonable and a 12-month lock-in is not. Engines change too often for anyone to know what the work looks like a year out.

Candidly

What you should not pay for

Do not pay for a guarantee of a citation or a ranking; nobody controls the engines, and a published timeline with screenshots is the honest alternative. Do not pay for links. Do not pay for a tool's dashboard presented as a strategy. Do not pay extra for “AI schema” or “AI submission”: Google says no special structured data is needed.

  • Guarantees. Google's own documentation says meeting every requirement does not mean it will crawl, index or serve a page. Any agency guaranteeing AI Overview inclusion is guaranteeing what Google says it cannot.
  • Paid links. Against Google's spam policies and useless for assistants, which cite pages for what they say, not for who links to them.
  • A dashboard without the work. Tracking tools are useful; we use them. They are not the service.
  • Separate “AI SEO” and “SEO” invoices for the same pages. The work overlaps. One engagement, one price.

Checklist

How to compare two quotes

Put the two quotes side by side on seven lines: prompts tracked and engines, pages a month, who ships the engineering, mentions work included, report format and cadence, notice period, and who is on the account. Then ask each agency for last month's report for an existing client, with the client's permission. The report tells you more than the price.

  1. 01

    Prompts and engines

How many, which engines, how often. Ask to see the prompt list format.

  2. 02

    Pages a month

How many, who writes, who is named as author, who approves.

  3. 03

    Engineering

Pull requests, tickets, or a PDF? Who has access to the codebase?

  4. 04

    Mentions

Which pages, what method, and confirmation that no links are bought.

  5. 05

    Reporting

Ask for a redacted sample. Screenshots or scores?

  6. 06

    Terms

Notice period, GST, what happens to the content and accounts if you leave.

  7. 07

    People

Who does the work, and will you meet them before signing?

Our answers to the seven are on the pricing page and the GEO service page. The free audit is where we start, whichever quote you choose.
